I always have a lot of love for Phillip Lim’s collections, they never fail to impress and this collection was certainly no exception. This season I felt as though minimalism was every were and in the wrong way there’s only so many outfits that can be produced made up of black and white basics, personally I’m pretty fussy when it comes to minimalism anyway, Alexander Wang is the only minimalist I usually approve of and so when I saw this collection I was relieved that someone had decided that as it is a winter collection there isn’t a need for what can only be explained as a monochrome pallet. The collection was hugely made up of lots of layering something I enjoy incorporating into my own wardrobe and although there wasn’t exactly rainbows on the catwalk there was just the right amount of colour, texture and pattern throughout the collection, over all I can definitely see myself taking a lot of inspiration from this collection next fall.

Anna sui

Anna Sui, well where do I start? the colours oh my gawd the colours, I don’t actually think there was one in the spectrum that was left out and the patterns ,diamonds, stripes, criss-crosses, swirly things. This collection clearly had a lot of inspiration from the 70s and I think it’s fabulous.

Jeremy Scott (men’s)

For Jeremy Scott I’m going to focus on the men’s collection as I preferred the men’s clothes in this collection and I’m always interested in men’s clothing as I think there is more to be done for men’s clothing and therefore there’s more room for experimentation that hasn’t already been done. The thing is with Jeremy Scott a lot of the time people admire his collections but label them as ‘un-wearable’ but in my opinion when you really look at collections such as this I think it’s the styling that often scares people. Each of the items designed can almost always be dressed down with basics especially the fun printed trousers in this collection on top of that Jeremy seems to have a thing for topless men so if you picture each of the outfits with a plain white tee underneath they seem to immediately look less out there, however in my opinion ‘go big or go home’ right? btw I would wear the outfit Jeremy Scott himself models ,DEM JEANS! Another thing comment below if you agree that this collection is very similar to iron fist’s clothing.

Marc Jacobs

Ok so basically after years of watching Marc’s collection and drooling in the process i have come to the conclusion that Marc and I have some sort of psychic connection, Marc sits down to design his collection and is just like I wonder what Alexandra would like to be wearing next season and then designs it and sticks an extortionate price tag on it, yeah that’s my theory. Basically this collection is just perfect I struggle to go into detail on this one it just is.

Red Valentino

So I’ve always been a big Valentino fan I just love his style and think that it is one of the fashion houses that definitely shows quality through their fine detail and use of fabric. Over all this was just another collection that once again didn’t fail to impress. I especially loved the innocence presented in this collection and use of childlike silhouettes, this is definitely a collection that I myself would wear however I feel as though it was maybe a bit too spring summer and not enough fall winter ?
